Five Biggest Travel Scams--(10/04/2011)

travel-scamFox news put out a good article today entitled: "Top 5 Travel Scams to Know Before You Book"
In it, the author Mary Quinn O Connor breaks down five different ways in which consumers can be scammed when purchasing a vacation package.

Some are pretty obvious, including Discount Travel Clubs, which charge you an upfront fee in order to become part of an exclusive club which'entitles' you to so-called travel deals.  OR Timeshare Scams, which can often be hugely deceptive practices.  Of course there are some legit time share companies, but be EXTREMELY careful when you get a call from any of these folks.
